Chocolate Cake

I had a severe chocolate craving* on Sunday morning.

I like me some chocolate, but I don't think I've ever felt such a strong urge to eat some. Not in the chocolate bar sense, although those are always welcome.

This time I was going for something ooeey-gooey and warm and melty.

Enter Pioneer Woman's Chocolate Sheet Cake. I'd heard several rave reviews and had wanted to try it.

And since I'm not a nut person, I just left those out.

Let me just say it hit the spot. In a major way. All my chocolately dreams came true.

*And just in case anyone read into the word craving, let me assure you it was just that. No special news 'round here.

LOL. It's a good thing you wrote the disclaimer because my mind totally went to that when I saw "craving." That cake looks absolutely divine. If I weren't trying to ensure that I could somehow get into my bathing suit for next week, I'd be whipping some up right now.

I have heard from numerous people how incredible this cake is.

Will be trying. SOON!

Jessie, my darling child. This is my cookie sheet cake to the letter. If I don't have buttermilk (and I usually don't) sour cream works just as well. I actually add a little more cocoa and I love the extra rich and more expensive dark chocolate available at some stores. PS I thought you didn't like nuts??? Didn't I make choc chip cookies without them for you??
