The New Look

I'd like to give props to my husband for the new blog header!

I had wanted to jazz up the blog for awhile but didn't know how to use Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to make it happen. We bought the programs a few months ago (students can get them really cheap, which was helpful) but I've been clueless as to how to use them. Josh had used them during architecture school but hadn't had the chance to show me.

Then we were looking at some of the cute Christmas cards we got from friends who had ordered from Tiny Prints and I mentioned how I really liked the designs that website comes up with. Josh responded with, "you know you can design your own on Illustrator, right?" And then he offered to give me lessons that next evening. I've only BARELY scratched the surface but WOW is that a fun program to use! Can't wait to make holiday cards for next year. Should be considerably easier than making them by hand, like this past year!

Josh took the lead on the blog header and did a great job. Nothing too fancy (yet) but I like it. Plus it was fun to sit next to him and learn all about it.

Just what I need... another hobby. :)
