College Football - Coming Soon!

We're getting totally and completely excited for this to start up again:

We even watched the famed 1997 game against Ohio State yesterday, just because we were in the mood. I just added http://www.mgoblog.com/ to my reader.

Less than two weeks, people. College football. Just around the corner.

It makes me do a little dance in my computer chair. Is anyone else out there excited? At all?

*******

Update: After Julie's comment to this point, I desperately need to share the story of "amazing" jello.

A couple of years ago Josh and I decided to have people over to watch one of Michigan's big games. I told my friends Julie and Kara that I'd make U of Michigan-themed cookies and "maize and blue" jello for the big event.

Which then promted this question from the two of them (who do live in the state of Michigan, albiet under a rock):

Amazing Blue jello? What makes it so amazing?

You know, maize and blue? The team's colors?

And with that, I hope you enjoy the "amazing green" (for Sparty of course) jello, Jules.

Hey trader, what about IU football??!! ;)

Most of me says HEX NO I'm not excited about the start of football season, BUT, I've decided this year that I will try my hardest to learn to enjoy something that my husband adores.

But I'm thinking I better learn how to make some "amazing green jello" otherwise the game just may not be quite as fun. Hehehe

Oh the things we'll do for love...

I am SO excited. Of course, we cheer for East Coast teams...MD and WV (where I'm from), but we LOVE college football season. We're all about dips and desserts and munching all day on Saturdays as we watch games. We do take care of the kids, too. We make sure they're fed. LOL! j/k.

I guess I was just hoping the "amazing" part of the jello had something to do w/ an alcoholic beverage that is added...hm...guess not.

THANK YOU for sharing that story. Now...if I only had a bit of dirt on you... :)

I can't say ANYTHING about Kara, cuz she's lived here her entire life, but I can claim that I'm a transplant and am still learning the lingo!! :)

I can't wait. My hubby got a full ride scholarship to play football for U of M and part way through transfered (do to coaching conflicts) to MSU to finish his football career with a Rose Bowl victory ('88). We love football. To make matters even better this football season we have been invited to as many U of M games as we care to see this season on "the house" because U of M is pursuing my son to go there. I am geeked about that.

LOL at the IU football comment. Although they've gotten better, Indiana is DEFINTIELY still a basketball school. It's the only reason my husband doesn't feel guilty rooting for Purdue football - because Indiana is generally not a contender.

He has issues with the whole growing up in B-town, going to Purdue thingy...

Me on the other hand... GO TARHEELS!

Yay for the NCAA!
